Gmate is a German company who is currently developing new diabetic products. They focus on markets with a lot of diabetic patients. Malaysia is such a country. Fifteen percent of the total population is a registered diabetic. In reality, this is even more because there are a lot of people who do not visit the doctor. Besides selling products, Gmate also wants to improve healthcare and the standard of living for Malaysian people. They do this by informing patients and doctors with their information and also with the government.

The Malaysian government is worried, because a huge percentage of diabetic patients are facing difficulties. The percentage is getting higher every day. This is not good for the health, and eventually not good for the economy. Most doctors blame the Malaysian food for this. It contains too much sugar and other harmful substances. Compared with other ASEAN countries, Malaysia has the biggest diabetic problem. Also, the food from the Western companies has bad influences on the Malaysian people. Especially, the MCDonalds, Burger King and KFC ruin the health of a lot of Malaysians. Also, Starbucks and other coffee and delicates companies take part in this.

How Gmate Wants To Change It

Gmate's goal is to inform the Malaysian people in a proper way from the start of their adult life. This means that they are already educating children on elementary school. With doing this, they hope to change the lifestyle of young Malaysian to reduce the chance they get diabetes in the future. The government support these meetings, and also organizes similar meetings on elementary schools and in villages far away from the city. Those are also important because they have no doctor and not a lot of knowledge. Therefore, they also have a bigger chance to get diabetes.
