GlucoDock, Gmate's Competitor

For a long period of time, the Gmate Smart glucose meter was the best meter available. Still, it is a revolutionary device. But, from now on there is a competitor available. It is made by Medisana, a respective German company who is also doing research on diabetic products for a long period of time. The GlucoDock has almost the same functions as the Gmate. We will show you the similarities and differences in this article.

GlucoDock and the iDevices

Both the Gmate and the Medisana GlucoDock are only available for Apple iDevices. Medisana is currently working on Android and Windows Phone versions, which will be released at the beginning of 2014. The Gmate can be connected to the device via the headphone plug. The GlucoDock has to be connected via the dock. Eventually, Gmate's solutions is better. The dock is easier when using the device, but times change. Now, Apple has a new charger and dock. Which means that the GlucoDock can not be used on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. Also the new iPads are not compatible with the GlucoDock. When using, the Medisana device is the most convenient.

GlucoDock Application

The application from the Medisana GlucoDock is easy to use and beautifully designed. The application is better than the Gsmart application. Also, the log function and warning functions are better than Gsmart's functions. Therefore, we suggest you consider taking a GlucoDock instead of a Gsmart. Of course, keep in mind that new devices are not compatible with the Medisana GlucoDock.
